at a magical evening, an unformal convention of story tellers. around fires, occassion sand storms and improvised music, a dancer comes up and ties a scarf to her waist. the gestures, the beauty,the colours, the ring and shake of the coins on the scarf, the big impression, a living fantasy of oriental fantazy.

this is how gul met dancing. with this spirit she recreates in her shows the authentic, magical experience which takes the viewer to a fascinating journey where the body has a rhythem of it's own, starting from the way where the gipsys went, to the road of porfumes, piquancy and tastes of the east to our days on her performances in the stages of israel and turkey.

apart from dancing, she puts a strong emphasis on a connection with the audience and sharing the experience with them. starting from a dance with the happy celebrators, to an ultimate circle where all the audience is participating in an exciting dance. the customs are exciting and colorful, and the show is presented with much humor, warmhearted and as an estetic experience to the viewer's eyes.

it's possible to invite gul for performances all around israel and the rest of the world. some of her clients are: cellcom, the israeli air industy, maccabi HMO, Intel, amdocs, netcom, the 3rd eye, mizpe hayamim hotel, elizur women basketball team, producers and publishers, and hunderds of other clients for family events.

The Turkish Connection

After her will to know the colture of the origin of her family, Turkey, and to expand her knowledge in oriental dancing, she studied at the top dancers in Turkey (Nergis Ebru, Nesrin Topkapi, Tulary Karaca and Aytul gibi), in Oriental and Roman Gipsy styles. along with her stay there, she began performing at the top clubs in Istanbul:
Orient house, GAR music hall, Galata Colisseu, Arkad and Istanbul Inn.
She is accepted there as family among the other dancers, and at her visits she is invited to perform in clubs and other various events.
thanks to her broad connections in Turkey, gul initiated and promoted a professional workshop for dancers and students from Israel to a special workshop in Istanbul. other than studying, the participants enjoyed town tours, viewing shows, dancers equipment shopping and more.

gul is also invited regularly, as a coltural embassador and as a dancers at the events of the organization of turkish immigrants from arkadash. as a special thank you, the organization has translated vered's name to gul, and this is the origin of her name.

The turkish style is a part of the various repertoires gul dances. at the past she danced at the "Iran Folk" group and performed in various shows for the persian ethnic group. the egyptian dance style she knows perfectly and she also attended several teachers in egypt (mona Saiid, Randa Kamal, Diana). gul also danced in the "Arabesk" group, a group for oriental and folk dances and along with them she performed in Carmiel festival, Jerusalem theater, Inbal at Suzan Dalal center, Israel museum and other big shows. gul also attended at the following TV shows: Taverna, Golden Screen, the wizards from utz 2, the maccabia finish ceremony, the next king, the yes show and more.

Stage Shows and Cultural Events

Once in a while, gul initates, produces and dances in stage shows at different theaters and festivals in coop with other dancers, a partial list includes: Kaharamana-Suzan Dalal, Istanbul festival, Diamon theater, Tel aviv - Kahir, the cultural center of Petah-Tikva, the big Bazar, the Arab-Jewish theater at Jafa, Thousand nights stories at the Yad Lebanim theater at Raanana, Night at Khan at the Khan theater in Jerusalem and more.

gul also performs with the singer Ishtar (Albina), Sheva group, Gaya group, The Wisam Habib group, Ha Brera Ha Tivi'it, Lior Narkis, Jusuf Wahad, Nash Didan, Asta, Aviv Avidan, Kav Ha Tefer and more.
